Breakouts

Spots that keep coming back. The clinical word is acne.

Spots that keep coming back are usually a mix of oil, blocked pores and inflammation, and the fix is a plan over a few months, not one treatment. Most people see a clear change by week six.

What to expect

How it feels
A peel is a warm tingle for a few minutes. LED is warm light with nothing touching the skin.
Downtime
Light flaking for two to five days after each peel. Most people go straight back to work.
Risks
Redness and irritation, a short flare as pores clear, and on darker skin a chance of new marks if the peel is too strong, which is why we patch test and start gently.
Not for you if
You are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking strong acne tablets, or under 18. Your nurse checks at the assessment.

Questions about breakouts

Will it make my skin worse first?

Sometimes, for a week or two, as pores clear. We tell you what to expect and check in at week two.

Is it suitable for darker skin?

Usually, with the right peel and a small patch test first. We choose strength and timing for your skin type, and Priya leads on skin of colour.

Do I need to stop my current products?

Bring them to the assessment. Half the time the answer is to keep one and stop three.
