What to expect

How it feels
Short warm snaps of light, like a rubber band flicked on the skin.
Downtime
Pinkness for a few hours, sometimes mild swelling for a day.
Risks
Temporary redness or swelling, and rarely blistering or a change in pigment, which is why we test a small area first and do not use it on darker skin.
Not for you if
You have skin type V or VI, a recent tan, take medicine that makes you sensitive to light, are pregnant, or are under 18.

Questions about redness

Is it rosacea?

Often, but not always. The assessment tells you, and if you need to see your GP we say so.

Does light treatment work on all skin?

It works best on lighter skin. On darker skin we use skincare instead, and tell you why.

Will it come back?

Redness can return. A top-up session once or twice a year keeps most people clear.
